About NSCHA

front_sortThe NSCHA was formed to create a valuable and much needed new avenue to market and promote the cow horse industry, utilizing the talent, breeding and training of the cutting and working cow horses in an exciting and affordable way.

Sorting events have grown to be one of the most popular equine sports in the US and beyond. The affordability of the sport, combined with the laid back atmosphere of shows and events, make sorting a TRUE family sport the entire family can enjoy, showing for less than the cost of one individual in other cow horse competitions.  Remember, the family that plays together stays together!

The NSCHA's goal is to promote and market the value in our horses by recording their earnings and creating a new market place for trained horses, prospects and breeding stock. We promote and produce quality weekend events as well as several limited aged events throughout the year, including the future NSCHA World Finals and the NSCHA Breeder’s Futurity and Derby and the NSCHA Gelding Stakes.

So come and join us and be a part of this exciting sport! There is a class to fit every level of rider, from the first time showing beginner, to the professional cow horse trainer and everyone in between.  It is time to simplify the rating system by money earned and classes that fit every level of rider so you can focus on the fun!
